Perishable Products Policy
Fresh produce, meat, fish, frozen and chilled items need special handling. This policy explains how we look after them and what to do if something is not right.
What counts as perishable
Fresh fruit and vegetables (such as plantain, yam and peppers), fresh or frozen meat and fish, dairy, chilled and frozen foods, and any product marked perishable on its page.
Fulfilment
Perishable items are available for store pickup or local Calgary delivery only. They cannot be shipped by Canada Post.
Your responsibilities
Collect or receive perishable orders promptly and refrigerate or freeze items straight away, following any storage instructions on the product. We cannot accept responsibility for spoilage caused by delayed pickup or storage after handover.
Natural variation
Fresh produce varies in size, colour and ripeness. Plantain, for example, may be supplied green or ripening. Tell us in your order notes if you have a preference and we will do our best.
If something is wrong
Contact us the same day you receive the order with your order number and a photo where possible. If an item was spoiled, damaged or not as described at handover, we will offer a replacement, store credit or refund.
Food safety
If you believe a product may be unsafe, do not eat it — contact us right away.
